Historic Wins
NILAMBUR CONSTITUENCY
The very first SURPRISE win from the Nilambur Constituency came as an Independent candidate supported by the Left Democratic Front in the year 1982. He defeated the then Forest Minister Mr. Aryadan Mohammed for over 1500 votes where Mr. Aryadan had a majority of 19,000 votes in the previous election. With this win, he asserted his strong presence in the political arena in the years to come. Regardless of any party barrier, people from LDF as well as UDF including Muslim League have voted for Shri. T.K. Hamza, “when T.K. Hamza wins, the PEOPLE win”.
BEYPORE CONSTITUENCY
After his splendid performance as MLA in the Kerala Assembly, Mr. Hamza was elected from the Beypore Constituency in the 1987 election and became the PWD minister in the E.K. Nayanar Ministry.
In the 1991 elections, the notorious CO-LEA-B combination was introduced by the UDF, intending to defeat Mr. Hamza in whatever way possible. In spite of Mr. Shihab Thangal himself campaigning hand in hand with RSS/BJP candidate Mr. Madhavan Kutty, the people of Beypore elected Mr. T.K. Hamza for over 8000 votes. Without any party barrier, all the good people from LDF as well as UDF including Muslim League have voted for Com. T.K. Hamza, Indeed we should say THE PEOPLE won that election rather than Mr. T.K. Hamza and needless to say THE PEOPLE of Beypore taught UDF a lesson about the ETHICS of elections. “when T.K. Hamza wins, the PEOPLE win”.
MANJERI LOKSABA CONSTITUENCY
Ever since the Independence of India, the people of MANJERI and PONNANI loksaba constituency had been used to seeing only the MPs of Muslim League for more than 50 years, that itself every five years when the election comes, be it Mr. Banathwaala or Mr. Ahmed. It was here that Com. T.K. Hamza created History, winning over IUML in the 2004 election by defeating the Muslim League candidate Mr. Majid for about a whopping 50,000 votes from the MANJERI constituency. He will be the Last Member Of Parliament of MANJERI constituency for ever, since this constituency has now been split into three other constituencies.
The people of Manjeri has elected the right candidate to represent them in the Loksaba. More over THEY CREATED THE HISTORY. Prudent people from all the parties including Congress and Muslim League have voted for him without any party barrier because they have realized his value, and all are proud to have him to represent them in the Loksaba. Indeed, he is endearingly and popularly called – JANANGALUDE MP, the MP among the People.
